Glades County is ranked 67th (lowest in Florida) in clinical health care and 2nd in physical environment. That’s an incredible contrast showing how our low population density results in little development and a lack of health care services. Both Glades County and Hendry County are characterized by high unemployment, single parent families, children in poverty, lack of primary care physicians, dentists, and mental health providers. Hendry County ranks 65th in clinical health care and 67th in Social & Economic Factors…dead last in Florida.
